altThe colouristic home of the artist

The Art Photographer Frederikke keeps the walls in her apartment white and the base calm, whereas she has added colour with both her own and other colleagues art objects; and flavour with quite a few inherited pieces and other old furniture that she has found at flea markets throughout the years.
Her apartment is used as an art gallery and a lot of the art and other decorative items in her home are the results of exchanges with other artists. Artists she also sometimes opens her home for, for them to stay, and to get inspired by them.

altThree apartments built into one

This is Hjordis DIY project. Three small apartments built into one big apartment: at first two apartments on the same floor and then one downstairs. The biggest project was to build the indoor staircase and deciding on how much they should remove of the separation between the new bedroom and office. Hjordis has built the kitchen herself in concrete and tiles. Her husband is in on all her ideas but he can´t built them.

altCool design in the conservatory - Home office

Mie has decorated her office in one of the spacious and bright rooms with garden views and plenty of scenery. The room was originally a kind of conservatory but was previously used as a studio for the house's former owner an architect. The office is a tranquil contrast to everyday life in a busy store.

altApartment like the 30ies

For the third time in 10 years, Rikke renovated an apartment from AZ; two in Copenhagen and one in Amsterdam. Every time she chooses a new kitchen and bath from Kvänum and a color scheme out of the ordinary. Her favorite furniture and all the lamps are moved from place to place. "I always look for a place that is run down and where I can give it my own style.”

altSweet memories

The backyard is next to an area with wild nature and there is plenty of scenery and nice environment for children and adults. Julie and David have decorated the home so it is a functional, comfortable and relaxed base for the whole family. "It is important that there is room for both kids and adults. Especially we like the our kitchen, we can all be together and bake, cook, eat, do homework, draw, play games, swing, watch television and surf the net "says Julie.
